About the College
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Fallujah was established in 1998. Initially, it was affiliated with the University of Anbar, and later became the foundation for the University of Fallujah. At its inception, the college had only two academic departments: the Department of Public Administration and the Department of Economics. The first department offers a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, while the second offers a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
In the 2013-2014 academic year, the University of Fallujah was established, making the college one of its constituent colleges. To meet labor market demands and within limited resources, the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences was subsequently established, followed by the Department of Business Administration. Therefore, the college now includes four academic departments in the following order of establishment:
- Department of Public Administration
- Department of Economics
- Department of Financial and Banking Sciences
- Department of Business Administration
Regarding the evening study programs, they also include four departments: Economics, Public Administration, Financial and Banking Sciences, and Business Administration. The number of students has grown steadily in subsequent years, and the college has graduated numerous cohorts who obtained Bachelor's degrees in various specializations.
For postgraduate studies, a Master's program in Economics was introduced in 2002, followed by a Ph.D. program in Economics in 2018. In 2022, a diploma in Strategic Security Planning was established, and in 2023, a Master's program in Public Administration was introduced.
Due to the increasing number of students and the establishment of new academic departments to meet labor market needs, the college plans to accelerate the construction of new buildings on the university campus. These new facilities will include additional classrooms, a modern library, and a cafeteria, aiming to provide an appropriate environment for students at the college.
