On Monday, February 12, 2024, the Women’s Empowerment Unit held an awareness lecture titled "Women’s Right to Own and Manage Property".
The lecture clarified that women have numerous rights, including property ownership, as granted by national legislative laws and international conventions. It also emphasized that Islamic law had enshrined these rights for women centuries ago, particularly the rights to land ownership, marriage, alimony, and inheritance.
The lecture was delivered by the unit's head, Lecturer Areej Talib Kadhim, and was attended by several female faculty members, employees, and students.
