Lecturers Mohammad Jubair Abbas and Waleed Hameed Hussein from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Fallujah participated in the 14th Scientific Conference at the Mustansiriya Center for Arab and International Studies, University of Mustansiriya, under the theme "Confronting Extremism Amid Current Global Crises," held on March 24–25, 2024. Their research paper was titled "The Role of Civil and Political Forces in Achieving Political and Economic Reforms to Confront Extremist Ideology."
The research abstract highlighted the effectiveness of civil and political forces in countering extremism through collaboration, coordination, and shared efforts to promote peace and stability. It emphasized that political and economic reform is a core strategy to combat extremism, requiring political consensus, societal will, support from civil society institutions, and a new decision-making approach.
