Vision, Mission, and Goals of the Graduate Studies Department
1. Vision:
The Graduate Studies Department works with a forward-looking perspective aimed at advancing the level of graduate studies within Iraq, striving to reach the standards of leading global nations. The department has directly contributed to the country’s development by producing hundreds of scientific professionals holding diplomas, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees.
2. Mission:
To achieve national self-sufficiency in scientific competencies and experienced professionals across various fields of management and economics, which contributes to elevating the level of research outputs and scientific endeavors.
3. Goals:
- To coordinate between the college’s scientific branches and the university and ministry in order to create a robust scientific environment for graduate students.
- To provide all advanced tools and resources to facilitate the completion of graduate student requirements and address any obstacles they may face during their studies.
- To support the college with lecturers and examiners for graduate students from reputable local and international universities, ensuring the research keeps pace with global advancements and fosters the exchange of ideas.
- To graduate highly skilled individuals with leadership and research abilities, equipped to meet modern scientific developments.
- To collaborate with various government institutions to complete applied research and patents, contributing to the improvement of local productivity and the national economy.
4. Duties of the Graduate Studies Unit:
- Maintaining all instructions and regulations regarding the admission and academic leave for graduate students.
- Coordinating with scientific branches to develop academic leave plans in accordance with the regulations.
- Monitoring the introduction of new graduate programs within the college.
- Issuing administrative orders (academic leave, graduate admissions, cancelation of admission, and re-enrollment of previously canceled students).
- Monitoring curricula, credit hours, and proposed research for graduate students.
- Following up on the academic progress of graduate students.
